SPECIAL 'VRIESKE' WITH 'DREAM VIPER'

For the next 3 years (2022-2024) the new F-16 Demo pilot of the Belgian Air Force will be CMD VL Steven 'Frieske' De Vries flying with his General Dynamics F-16AM BLOCK 20 MLU M601 UPDATE (SABCA) / FA-87 'DREAM VIPER'.

With more than 5,000 flight hours this pilot is the first pilot in the Belgian Air Force and Europe to reach so many flight hours with F-16. Worldwide only 5 US pilots reached more than 5,000 flight hours. 

'Vrieske' received his wings in 1992.

For more than 30 years he is flying for the Belgian Air Force, after the Marchetti & Alpha Jet he became an F-16 pilot.

After flying for the 23rd Devil Squadron which was dismissed he became a pilot for the 31st Tiger Squadron at Kleine Brogel.

During his operational duties, he joined a lot of missions in Kosovo, Bosnia, Serbia, Afghanistan, Baltics, Iraq, Syria, etc.......
