President Trump started his European tour in the political heart of Brussels.

'Air Force One' landed at 4 o'clock in the afternoon on Wednesday 24th of May 2017 at Brussels Airport (Melsbroek).

In the Royal Palace, Trump had a meeting with King Filip of the Belgians before talking to Prime Minister Charles Michel.

Thursday morning 25th of May a meeting was scheduled with European Council President Donald Tusk and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker.

After several meetings President Trump moved towards the NATO's headquarters for his first NATO meeting with other heads of state.

Thursday was a very busy day including this NATO gathering in Brussels,  where the newly-built NATO premises where inaugurated. (with flypast). This NATO summit was not an official one!

(see also subject on this website : Military - NATO-OTAN Flypast 2017)

After some 29 hours on Belgian soil, Air Force One lifted his wings towards Sicily for a G7 summit

'AIR FORCE ONE' : is the official air traffic call sign for a United States Air Force aircraft carrying the President of the United States.

Most of the time this will be one of the two Boeing VC-25A which are currently in use.

This Boeing VC-25 is a military version of the Boeing 747. Only two of this aircraft type exist.

Both are highly modified 747-200B with tailnumbers 28000 & 29000. (see below pictures)

The operational cost for each VC-25A is approximately $200,000 per hour!
